The Lomonosov Tournament is an annual multidisciplinary competition in mathematics, mathematical games, physics, astronomy and earth sciences, chemistry, biology, history, linguistics, and literature. The purpose of the tournament is to give the participants material for thought and push those interested to serious pursuits.
Features of the Tournament named after M.V. Lomonosov in the fall of 2020:
Date: The tournament will take place on October 4, 2020 online
Start Time: You can start completing assignments starting at 7:30 am Moscow time.
Duration: 5 hours (300 minutes)
End time: 5 hours after the start, but no later than 15:00 Moscow time.
Classes: The tasks of the Tournament are compiled for schoolchildren of grades 6-11.
Subjects: chemistry, astronomy and earth sciences, mathematics, physics, literature, linguistics, biology and history.
Language of the Olympiad: Russian (this year there will be no tasks in English)

The tournament has been held annually since 1978. It was organized by the Moscow Center for Continuing Mathematical Education, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Open Education of the Moscow City Department of Education, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow Aviation Institute (State Technical University), Moscow State Technological University STANKIN. The chairman of the tournament organizing committee is Nikolai Nikolaevich Konstantinov. Other universities and schools in Moscow and other cities, scientific, educational and charitable organizations and foundations also participate in organizing the tournament.
