It's Interesting!
Did you know that 70% of the trash can from any ordinary apartment is food packaging? If we sorted the garbage correctly, then most of it could be sent for recycling or reuse. At the same time, every resident of Russia throws out about 500 kg of garbage every year, and only Russian landfills occupy 4 million hectares: this is equal to the territory of Holland or Switzerland. Every year the area of landfills in Russia increases to an area equal to Moscow and St. Petersburg. And finally, about plastic. 100,000 marine animals and 1,000,000 birds die from plastic every year. At the same time, only 10% of polyethylene bags are recycled – the rest remains in the ground or in the world's oceans. Just think – you can try to change the situation for the better!
